Species data, disease information, calculators and AI-generated suggestions are educational reference only. Livestock is living and outcomes depend on conditions we cannot observe. Always verify against your own test results and a trusted local source before acting. Reef Notes is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
The AI features deliberately refuse to output medication dosages, concentrations or treatment durations. Dosing an aquarium incorrectly kills livestock. Use the human-reviewed treatment entries in the Disease library, and follow the instructions on the product you actually own.
You keep ownership of what you post, and grant us a licence to host and display it inside the app. You must have the right to post the photo. Do not post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, deceptive, spam, or unrelated to aquariums.
All submissions are reviewed by a human before publication and may be rejected without notice. Published content may be removed at any time. Repeated violations may end your access. Every post can be reported, and every author can be blocked, from inside the app.
Reef Notes Pro is an auto-renewing annual subscription sold through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Free trial allowances, where offered, are forfeited when you purchase a subscription. We do not process or ever see your payment details — refunds are handled solely by Apple.
AI features carry per-user and overall daily limits to keep the service affordable and available. Attempting to bypass them, or automating access outside the app, may result in loss of access.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of livestock, equipment damage, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app.
We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
